Apply structural analysis and design expertise at AtkinsRéalis, supporting steel, concrete, and masonry systems through engineering calculations and reviews.
This Junior Structural Design Engineer supports assigned design changes within AtkinsRéalis’s Canadian nuclear engineering group. The work includes structural calculations, technical guidance, construction support, and site walkdowns. You will collaborate with contractors, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve construction issues and structural concerns.
Key Responsibilities: Perform engineering design activities and design reviews
Prepare structural repair and reinforcement calculations
Interpret design documents and resolve structural issues
Address RFIs, NCRs,
and FCRs with stakeholders
Verify structural integrity during construction walkdowns
Requirements: Civil Engineering degree from an accredited university
At least three years’ structural analysis and design experience
Experience with steel and concrete structures
Knowledge of Canadian civil and structural engineering codes
Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
