Lead evangelistic outreach and biblical teaching at Groundswell in Burlington, working from home and attending services in Tansley Woods. Champion the Gospel and help people grow in Christ.
As Lead Pastor, you will serve an intimate, diverse Developing Alliance church rooted in biblical orthodoxy and Scripture’s authority. You will work with the congregation and Lead Team to advance the mission, deepen Gospel understanding, and mobilize action. The position is permanent part time, 20 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities: Advance the mission of reaching people with the Gospel
Preach and teach the full Gospel
Equip members for tangible spiritual growth and action
Oversee church rhythms with the Lead Team
Coach and pray with members pursuing the mission
Requirements: Three to four years of pastoral experience preferred
Master’s degree, seminary training, or Bible college education
Strong biblical preaching preparation and delivery skills
Ordination and licensing, or willingness to pursue licensing
Agreement with Groundswell and Alliance statements and policies
Bring evangelistic leadership, biblical preaching, and pastoral care to Groundswell’s growing church family in Burlington.
