Operate forklifts and organize recyclable materials as a Non-Ferrous Receiver at American Iron & Metal’s Sudbury South location. Work outdoors in all weather.
This full time position supports yard operations under the Site Manager’s supervision. American Iron & Metal seeks candidates with forklift experience, physical capability, and safety awareness. Metal recycling, computer software, Microsoft Office, and retail customer service experience are assets.
Key Responsibilities: Sort, move, and organize materials throughout the yard
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers
Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area
Support equipment operators and other yard personnel
Follow company health and safety policies
Requirements: Experience operating a forklift
Metal recycling experience considered an asset
Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
Reliable, safety-conscious, team-oriented, with excellent attendance
Use forklift operation, material handling, and safety skills while supporting organized yard operations at American Iron & Metal.
