Provide protected resident care as a casual Health Care Aide at AgeCare South Terrace in Edmonton, using thorough basic care skills.
Working under a Staff Nurse, you will collaborate with the care team to meet individual resident needs. Apply your HCA training across personal care, transfers, feeding, treatments, and mobility support. Follow care plans, water temperature controls, and appropriate safety controls while supporting residents throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities: Bath, shower, and wash residents according to care plans
Assist transfers using ceiling lifts, mechanical lifts, and transfer belts
Feed residents and follow appropriate dietary care plans
Provide routine treatments under Staff Nurse direction
Accompany residents to dining, therapy, and recreation activities
Requirements: Recognized PCA or HCA 2002 or greater certificate
Active CLHA registration
Fluent English communication, orally and in writing
One year continuing care experience preferred
Post-secondary education considered an asset
Support AgeCare residents in Edmonton through personal care, safe transfers, feeding, treatments, and compassionate mobility assistance.
