Lead month-end close and financial reporting as a Senior Accountant in Markham, working fully in office five days per week.
This Senior Accountant oversees accounting for an established Canadian manufacturer with more than 50 years in business. The work combines full-cycle accounting, payroll, compliance, reporting, and bookkeeping. You will work independently while receiving support from a larger corporate finance team, including a Controller and Assistant Controller.
Key Responsibilities: Own month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements
Present variance analysis findings to management
Prepare management reporting packages and budget tracking
Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees
Manage AP, AR,
remittances, and audit documentation
Requirements: Five-plus years of full-cycle accounting experience
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field
QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting system experience
Payroll platform experience; PayWorks knowledge is an asset
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
