Extendicare’s Cobourg Home needs a compassionate Personal Support Worker for part time or casual shifts supporting residents in Cobourg, Ontario. Work days, evenings, or nights.
You will join the PSW team delivering direct care in accordance with Extendicare’s policies, procedures, and work routines. The work centers on practical assistance with mobility, feeding, bathing, toileting, and personal grooming. It also includes encouraging resident engagement and offering emotional and social support to residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct resident care following policies and procedures
Assist residents during mobility and feeding activities
Provide bathing, toileting, and personal grooming assistance
Encourage residents to participate in activities
Offer emotional and social support to families
Requirements: Recognized PSW certification
Ability to complete physical care tasks
Ability to bend, reach, and lift frequently
Compassion, professionalism, and respect for residents
Effective English reading, writing, and communication
