Prodomax seeks Mechanical Designers for custom automation solutions within the Jenoptik Group. You will report to the Mechanical Design Manager and receive project direction from a Design Lead. Responsibilities vary by your skills and experience, from entry-level design support through senior design analysis.
Key Responsibilities: Provide mechanical design support to Production and Engineering Teams
Design jigs and fixtures using SolidWorks
Prepare manufacturing drawings and bills of materials
Specify purchased components for mechanical assemblies
Analyze designs for customer specification compliance
Requirements: Engineering degree or engineering technologist or technician credential
Entry-level, three to five, or five to eight years’ experience
Experience with automated welding and assembly equipment
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office
Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
Bring mechanical design, SolidWorks, and automation equipment experience to Prodomax’s Barrie-based engineering and production setting.
