Support safer manufacturing through risk assessment, equipment installations, and Health & Safety projects at IPEX’s Ontario locations, based in Mississauga.
As a Project Engineer/Project Specialist – Safety, you will support projects from concept through implementation. The position provides technical expertise for machine safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Health & Safety teams while coordinating with contractors, consultants, and suppliers. Travel may reach 30% within Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate Health & Safety project execution within established standards
Provide recommendations following pre-start safety reviews
Review engineering documentation, drawings, and progress reports
Monitor performance against project goals and address challenges
Support initiatives improving safety, performance, and reliability
Requirements:
Engineering bachelor’s degree, preferably Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical
Three years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience
Mechanical and electrical machinery drawing analysis knowledge
Solid project, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of mechanical concepts, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Use analytical problem solving and project coordination skills to advance machine safety and operational reliability throughout Ontario.
