This community midwifery role supports birthing people from pregnancy through birth and early parenthood. You will work across home, midwifery-led unit, and hospital birth environments, while helping provide holistic, evidence-based care. The position includes training and support for its on-call homebirth service.
Key Responsibilities: Support people choosing homebirths within community services
Provide education throughout pregnancy, labour, and postnatal periods
Deliver care face to face when appropriate
Signpost families to online support and external agencies
Work within multidisciplinary teams and continuity models
Requirements: Midwifery experience or qualification suitable for community practice
Valuable knowledge of safeguarding requirements
Ability to follow local and national guidance
Willingness to undertake on-call responsibilities
Commitment to supporting informed birth choices
