At Lids Sports Group, the Assistant Store Manager helps create experiences around licensed headwear and apparel from teams and brands including Nike, Champion, New Era, and Mitchell & Ness. When the Store Manager is absent, this leader manages associates, handles escalations, supports staffing, and reinforces company procedures. The position also contributes to merchandising, promotions, membership offers, and store cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities: Execute promotions, initiatives, and Lids selling strategies
Offer customers product expertise, membership programs, and special offers
Maintain merchandising, signage, cleanliness, and qualified appearance
Assist recruiting and training personnel on store operations
Administer progressive discipline when the Store Manager is absent
Requirements: Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss
Clear, professional verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently without supervision
Ability to operate computers and mobile point-of-sale systems
