Support senior residents overnight at WoodGreen’s Cedarvale Housing Program in East York, using crisis response and de-escalation skills onsite.
As an Overnight Support Worker, you will help maintain safety, stability, and resident well-being during weekend overnight shifts. The role includes reception, security monitoring, supportive counselling, emergency response, and collaboration with onsite Home Support Workers. You will work within established procedures, harm reduction principles, and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities: Provide reception services for residents and staff
Monitor common areas and building perimeter
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and resident concerns
Complete hourly participant-floor rounds
Document activities,



incidents, risks, and shift exchanges
Requirements: Two-year social services diploma or security certification
Three years’ experience supporting older adults or seniors
Experience with mental health, addictions, and street involvement
Effective de-escalation and boundary-setting abilities
Ability to interact with vulnerable individuals
Bring crisis intervention, risk management, and compassionate overnight support skills to WoodGreen residents in East York.
