The practice focuses on insurance defence and marine law, representing national and international insurers in complex, high-value matters. You will manage files, prepare legal materials, and represent clients through litigation stages.
Key Responsibilities: Manage litigation files from referral through resolution
Prepare pleadings, motions, reports, and legal opinions
Conduct discoveries, mediations, and judicial settlement conferences
Work closely with partners on complex defence matters
Build client relationships and grow an individual practice
Requirements: Four years of litigation experience, preferably insurance defence
Membership in a Canadian provincial bar
Eligibility for Nova Scotia Bar admission
Experience managing files with increasing independence
Solid communication, organization, judgment, and client service skills
