This casual Clerk IV position supports Providence Health Care’s rotating operations in North Vancouver. You will gather demographic and payment information, process preadmissions, prepare documentation, and respond to patient requests. The work also includes bed availability, transfers, appointments, records, and other admitting clerical duties. Success requires medical terminology knowledge, organized work habits, and the ability to deal effectively with others.
Key Responsibilities: Register patients in admission, discharge, and transfer systems
Process preadmissions and forward completed registration documentation
Explain admission processes, forms, deposits,



and room differentials
Maintain available-bed lists and enter approved assignments
Answer phones, provide directions, and distribute documents
Requirements: Grade 12 education with related recent experience
Two years’ recent related experience or equivalent preparation
Ability to keyboard at 40 words per minute
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Physical ability to carry out position duties
Use patient access, admissions, bed coordination, and communication skills as a hospital clerk in North Vancouver.
