Support analytical testing at Stratum Analytical in Toronto with sample preparation, microbiology principles, and exact laboratory documentation. This permanent full-time role works 37.5 hours weekly.
The Laboratory Assistant supports operations involving experimentation, data collection, equipment maintenance, and laboratory cleaning. You will prepare samples, record observations, maintain supplies, and follow SOPs. The position also supports ISO and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare and manage samples for analytical testing
Record observations and results accurately and promptly
Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas
Monitor laboratory supplies and restock from the warehouse
Support environmental monitoring and laboratory staff
Requirements: Experience in microbiology or chemistry laboratory settings
Working knowledge of microbiology and aseptic techniques
Ability to follow company policies, SOPs, and safety rules
Intermediate Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills
Bachelor’s degree or biotechnology diploma preferred
Bring careful sample handling, laboratory maintenance, and documentation skills to Stratum Analytical’s Richmond Street operations.
