The Resident Program Manager develops and implements programs in long-term care homes. You will lead recreation staff and volunteers, manage budgets, support community engagement, and follow regulatory requirements. The work also includes responding with HEART and advancing resident and family satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure residents participate in multiple monthly events and activities
Lead, manage, and motivate recreation staff and volunteers
Develop, plan, organize, and implement resident programs
Maintain budgets and monitor recreation expenditures
Support community engagement through volunteers and partners
Requirements: Ability to meet departmental and legislated objectives
Ability to comply with Extendicare's Guiding Principles
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and Resident Bill of Rights
Ability to hire, train, and engage recreation teams
