This Municipal Civil Design Technologist supports roadway, underground pipe, drainage, and stormwater projects for public and private sector clients. The work spans preliminary designs, detailed designs, tenders, calculations, and construction support. Burnside values initiative, curiosity, precision, and follow-through.
Key Responsibilities: Produce municipal infrastructure and road design drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Build and refine complex three-dimensional corridor models
Support roadway and underground pipe network design
Complete design calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates
Prepare special provisions,
tender schedules, and construction documents
Requirements: Diploma in Civil Technology, Computer Drafting, or equivalent experience
Minimum three years’ municipal infrastructure design and construction experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft 365
Robust design, organizational, communication, and time management skills
Valid Class G licence and access to a reliable vehicle
