Reporting to the Manager of Traffic and Transportation, this permanent position manages signal systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and transportation technology infrastructure. The work includes signal timing, operational analysis, project delivery, asset management, and data-driven recommendations supporting protected movement. Candidates require a related college diploma and over five years of related experience.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor and optimize signal timing, coordination, and operations
Support ATMS, TSP, EVP, and other ITS systems
Analyze delay, queues, travel times, reliability, and safety




Coordinate maintenance, repairs, construction, and special-event requirements
Prepare technical reports, designs, specifications, and recommendations
Requirements: Related college diploma with Canadian accreditation
Over five through seven years of related experience
Transportation Signal Optimization software ability
Knowledge of controllers, networks, detection, and ITS
Valid Class G licence and acceptable driving record
Bring signal timing, systems analysis, and transportation technology expertise to the City of Greater Sudbury in Frobisher.
