WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Heavy Duty Mechanic - Journeyperson will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for daily repairs and preventative maintenance of Calfrac’s well-servicing equipment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Heavy Duty Mechanic - Journeyperson will focus on diagnosing and repairing equipment in a secure, timely and effective manner.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
Diagnose and repair equipment in a protected, timely and effective manner
Assist in mentoring apprentices and current employees
Ensure that all paperwork is completed both accurately and on time




Verify repairs and ensure they are completed and documentedEnsure all maintenance inspections are completed
Remote field work may be required
Must attend all pre-job meetings and attend safety meetings when required
Participate in equipment modifications, campaigns & recalls

SCHEDULE

Eight (8) days on and six (6) days off

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright Certification required4-5 years of related experience
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent required
Satisfactory drivers abstract required
Adequate tool selection for Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade
Successful completion of the Interprovincial Journeyman Red Seal program is preferred
Certified to complete CVIP / DOT inspections would be considered an asset
