This Support Services Attendant opportunity is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, within a long-term care residence. You will maintain rooms and facilities, process personal clothing and linens, and help ensure meals meet department standards. Collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement matter in this work.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort laundry by linens, mops, and personal clothing
Wash, dry, extract, and organize clean laundry
Deliver clean laundry to resident areas using carts
Inspect clothing for tears, holes, and missing buttons
Check meal temperature, portions, presentation,
and timing
Requirements:
High School or GED completion
At least one year of commercial housekeeping or laundry preferred
Previous long-term care experience considered an asset
Ability to learn and work in a quick-paced environment
Transparent Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks where applicable
Support Caritas Residence residents through dependable laundry, housekeeping, and meal-service duties grounded in safety and accountability.
