As an Assistant Miller, you will support oat production from kiln operations through groat, steel cut, and secondary grading. The role requires equipment operation, product testing, computerized record keeping, sanitation, and communication across departments. You will help deliver protected products within specification while supporting milling efficiency and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate A and B Mill equipment
Adjust equipment and conduct product testing
Monitor grading systems and finished product quality
Document production data using computerized systems
Perform maintenance checks and troubleshoot performance issues
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Robust mechanical aptitude for complex milling equipment
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office proficiency
Ability to identify off-spec product characteristics
Ability to work safely around moving machinery
