Develop generative AI and cybersecurity solutions at American Express through a 16-week Master’s-level internship in Enterprise Technology Services.

As an AI Engineer Intern, you will examine AI security, agentic AI, application security, and advanced models for cybersecurity. Your work will include prototypes, evaluations, integrations, and reproducible analysis. You will collaborate with AI engineers, cybersecurity engineers, researchers, architects, product partners, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Test AI models for threat detection and vulnerability research
Integrate APIs, cloud services, containers, and security tools
Evaluate open-source technologies through reproducible testing
Analyze qualitative and quantitative experimental evidence




Communicate findings through summaries, demonstrations, and presentations

Requirements:
Full time Master’s student in an eligible technical discipline
Eligible graduation date for the 2027 Graduate Masters internship
Experience with programming languages including Python or similar
Understanding of data structures, algorithms, APIs, testing, and version control
Ability to investigate bounded problems and document findings

Build and evaluate generative AI, cybersecurity, and software engineering capabilities with American Express research teams.
