As a Laundry Aide, you will work within Extendicare’s housekeeping and maintenance team. The position involves collecting laundry, cleaning and drying items, preparing distribution, and maintaining supplies. You will follow established protocols for quality assurance, fire safety, environmental practices, and infection control.

Key Responsibilities:
Collect and receive laundry according to established protocols
Clean and dry laundry using required procedures
Prepare laundered items for distribution
Observe machines and report malfunctions to the Supervisor




Maintain laundry facilities, equipment, and supplies

Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, squat, reach, and lift linens
Ability to work safely using established practices
Understanding of washer and dryer operations preferred
Some knowledge of process chemicals preferred
