This Recycling Technician role contributes to SARCAN’s recycling system through customer service and hands-on depot work. You will explain accepted materials, deposit amounts, and container sizes while recording refund orders. Daily duties also involve repetitive physical tasks, prolonged standing, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities:
Explain accepted materials, deposits, and container sizes
Record orders for customer deposit refunds
Prepare containers by sorting, crushing, and loading
Perform general cleaning throughout the depot and yard




Stand for extended periods during repetitive physical work

Requirements:
Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with customers
Ability to follow instructions in the appropriate sequence
Dependability and willingness to work as a team player
Basic reading, writing, and numeracy abilities
