Build scalable software with AI-assisted development for Athennian’s distributed engineering team, working remotely from anywhere in Canada.

As a Software Engineer reporting to the Director of Development, you will design, build, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications. You will contribute to system architecture, application performance, security, reliability, and platform improvements. The work supports Athennian’s Governance Ops™ software, managing entity and ownership data worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions
Contribute to configurable, maintainable system architecture decisions
Use AI-assisted tools while maintaining code integrity
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers




Review code and optimize performance, security, and reliability

Requirements:
Four or more years of software engineering experience
Experience building scalable, enterprise-grade applications
Production experience shipping real-world AI features
Fluency with Cursor, Copilot, testing, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure
Ability to live and work full time in Canada
