About Us
Argos Crating is a Mississauga-based shop specializing in custom wooden crates, skids and ISPM-15 certified export packaging. We build packaging for manufacturers shipping precision components, aerospace assemblies, machinery and specialized equipment across Canada and around the world. We’re a small, growing team, and every crate that leaves our shop protects something valuable.
What You’ll Do
- Build custom wooden crates, skids and boxes from drawings, measurements and work orders
- Measure, cut and assemble lumber and plywood using table saws, mitre saws, nail guns and other power tools
- Package and secure customer equipment for domestic and export shipping
- Make sure work meets ISPM-15 export requirements and customer specs
- Keep your work area clean, organized and safe
- Help with loading, unloading and moving materials and finished crates
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in carpentry, crating, pallet building, framing or similar woodworking
- Comfortable reading measurements, basic drawings and work orders
- Confident and secure using power tools
- Accurate, careful work — measure twice,
cut once
- Reliable, on time, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Physically able to stand, lift and move materials throughout the day
- Own transportation required (our shop isn’t easily reachable by transit)
Nice to Have
- Crating or export packaging experience
- Forklift experience or certification
- Familiarity with ISPM-15
Schedule
Full-time hours. The schedule varies with workload, so some flexibility is needed — overtime may be available during busy periods.
