We are currently hiring a Journeyman Manual Machinist to join our hydraulic cylinder repair facility in Edmonton, AB.

Our shop services heavy equipment, mining, construction, oil & gas, transportation, and industrial sectors. We are looking for a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision workmanship and thrives in a hands-on repair setting.

Position Overview:
The Journeyman Manual Machinist will be responsible for machining and rebuilding hydraulic cylinder components to OEM specifications using manual equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipment
- Machine cylinder rods, barrels, glands, and pistons
- Perform threading (internal and external).
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Measure and inspect parts to tight tolerances
- Repair, modify, and manufacture parts as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with mechanics and shop team to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

- Journeyman Machinist Certification (Red Seal preferred)
- 3–5+ years of manual machining experience
- Hydraulic cylinder repair experience considered an asset




- Strong understanding of tolerances and precision measurement
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
