Position Title: PLC and HMI Programmer

Position Title: Full-Time

Job Summary:

Valley Integration Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Programmer with an interest in PLC and HMI programming to join our growing automation team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC, HMI, and SCADA control systems for industrial and municipal projects ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

PLC Programming:

· Read and interpret P&IDs;, electrical drawings, and loop diagrams for control panels.

· Understand and organize PLC program components based on Process Control Narratives (PCNs).

· Develop programs using various programming languages, including Structured Text, Sequential Function Charts, and Ladder Diagrams.

· Integrate different SCADA packages into the PLC systems.

· Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal system performance.

· Upgrade existing PLC programs for system improvements and changes.

· Be proficient with different PLC software platforms and tools.

· Stay updated on emerging technologies in PLC programming.

HMI Programming:

· Create and program Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems, including animations and graphical interfaces.

· Integrate HMI systems with PLCs for seamless operation.

· Maintain HMI programming standards according to municipal and industry guidelines.

· Develop and maintain documentation for HMI testing procedures and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).





· Develop simulation environments for project testing using simulation software.

· Prepare detailed documentation, checklists, and manage FAT for HMI systems.

· Commission HMI systems and ensure they function properly in real-world conditions.

· Manage the I/O List and Test Case documents, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Create process control flowcharts using Visio software for PLC code design.

· Ensure all projects are completed to client specifications and deadlines.

· Use Zoho to track project tasks and statuses, maintaining clear communication and documentation.

· Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including engineers, project managers, and technicians.

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or a related field.

· 3+ years of experience

· Good understanding of PLC programming concepts (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, etc.).

· Good knowledge of HMI design and programming principles.

· Ability to read and understand electrical and control drawings.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

· Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines.

· Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and openness to feedback.
