Medico Construction & Design Ltd. is a Surrey-based general contractor that specializes in healthcare tenant improvements: optometry clinics, medical and dental clinics, and pharmacies. We handle design and construction from start to finish for healthcare operators across Western Canada. Medico is growing into a group of companies that will also cover real estate, equipment, finance and marketing for the healthcare sector, so there is real room to grow with us.

The role

We are hiring a hands-on Site Superintendent to run our healthcare tenant improvement projects in the field. You will schedule and coordinate all the trades on site, keep jobs safe, on time and to a high standard, and be the face of Medico on site for clients and inspectors.

What you will do

- Plan, schedule and coordinate all trades and subcontractors on site

- Run daily site operations, including deliveries, access and housekeeping

- Lead site safety: orientations, toolbox talks, inspections and WorkSafeBC compliance

- Coordinate municipal and third-party inspections

- Check work quality against drawings, specs and BC Building Code requirements

- Track progress and keep daily logs, photos and site reports

- Flag RFIs, changes and issues early to the Project Manager





- Manage deficiencies, closeout and client turnover

What you bring

- 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including 2+ years as a superintendent or site supervisor

- Tenant improvement experience required; healthcare, dental or pharmacy experience is a strong asset

- Strong drawing-reading skills and solid knowledge of the BC Building Code

- Current safety training (OFA Level 1 or higher, fall protection, etc.)

- Solid leadership with trades and good communication with clients

- Valid BC driver's licence and a clean driving record
