Interprovincial Cooperative Limited (IPCO), a respected leader in the Agricultural industry, is currently recruiting Casual (Maintenance) Labour to join our Maintenance team. This is a seasonal position for approximately 6-8 months and will consist of 37.5 hours per week working Monday – Friday 5am – 1pm. Pay rates start at $18.82 per hour. What you’ll do:

Under the guidance of the Facility Manager, the Casual (Maintenance) Labour is responsible for contributing to safe, quality, and efficient basic preventative maintenance, general yard maintenance, and minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor equipment. This role includes assisting Maintenance Technicians with cleaning after completing repairs and returning tools or parts to the maintenance shop.

You will be responsible for following all health and safety requirements, including wearing personal PPE, adhering to company policies and procedures, and supporting company programs such as Respectful Workplace and Contamination Prevention. The position also requires meeting performance expectations and performing other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

Yard Duties:

- General yard maintenance (e.g., mowing, trimming, debris removal)
- Organizing outdoor materials and keeping the yard clean and orderly
- Performing minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor equipment

Snow Clearing (Seasonal):

- Shovelling walkways, entrances, and emergency exits
- Operating snow blowers or small equipment as required
- Applying salt or sand for ice management

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift up to 25kg floor to waist and 25kg waist to shoulders

· Extensive lifting, walking, standing, bending, and pushing

· Ability to perform repetitive activities

· Occasionally bending and turning while lifting weights of less than 25kg

· Standing for extended periods of time

· Shoveling snow and chipping ice

· Mowing grass, trimming shrubs and trees, removing debris and garbage

· Ability to perform daily preventative maintenance tasks on equipment

Qualifications:

· Must demonstrate English Language proficiency at a minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 6 in reading, writing, speaking and listening. This level ensures the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, accurately complete documentation, communicate effectively with team members and fully understand safety and operational procedures in the workplace.

· Mechanical background required (must be mechanically inclined)

· Ability to operate small equipment

· Experience using hand and air tools

· Excellent troubleshooting ability

· Solid work references, punctual/dependable with reliable transportation





· Strong work ethic and organizational skills

· Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal

· Ability to work in a team environment, a can-do attitude, and ability to multi-task
