Job Overview

As a Lead Security Technician at NorthStar Alarm, you will install, test, and fix security systems for homes and businesses. You will work with security cameras, alarms, and smart home sensors to keep our customers safe. We are looking for a reliable technician to join our team for the long term and grow with the company.

Pay & Advantages

- Wage Range: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Tool Policy: Technicians must bring their own tools. Tool costs can be subsidized by the company.

Responsibilities

- Install equipment: Put in and set up security cameras, alarms, access control, and sensors safely using hand and power tools.
- Read plans: Follow basic blueprints and wiring diagrams to see where equipment and cables need to go.
- Fix system issues: Find and solve problems with cameras, alarm wiring, and internet connections in the field.
- Test and activate: Work with our monitoring center to make sure systems are working perfectly before leaving.
- Help customers:



Teach customers how to easily use their new security systems.

Experience & Requirements

- Required: Experience using tools, running low-voltage wires, and setting up cameras or alarms. You must have good communication skills to talk with customers and our team.
- Vehicle Requirement: Must have a reliable personal vehicle to use for travel between job sites (a company vehicle may be provided after your first year of employment).
- Preferred: A background in electrical work, construction, or internet networking; experience leading a small team; and hands-on knowledge of Alarm.com (ADC), DSC, Hikvision, and UNV hardware.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 60.0 per week
