The Role: High-Impact, On-Call Winter Work on Your Terms

When a winter storm hits, our community relies on us to keep commercial and residential properties safe and accessible. We are looking for dependable, hardworking Snow Removal Technicians to join our sidewalk team for the 2026/2027 season.

This is a fully on-call, flexible position. You tell us the days, nights, or specific hours you are available to work, and when snow falls during your availability, you get called in. It’s an ideal setup for students, seasonal tradespeople, shift workers, or anyone looking to earn extra income around their existing schedule.

Primary Duties

- Sidewalk Snow Clearing: Clear walkways, entranceways, steps, and ramps using qualified-grade shovels, pushers, and blowers.
- Ice Management: Apply salt and de-icing materials thoroughly to eliminate slip hazards.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain our clean-to-the-pavement standard to ensure pedestrian safety across commercial and residential sites.
- Team Coordination: Work alongside our truck and plow operators to complete property routes efficiently.
- Equipment Care: Safely handle, transport, and maintain basic tools and equipment.

How Scheduling Works

- Work When You Want: You provide us with your general availability (e.g., specific days of the week, weekends only, overnights only, or open availability).
- On-Call by Weather:



When snow or freezing rain events occur during your available windows, our dispatch team will call you in.
- Reliability When Dispatched: While you choose your availability, showing up promptly and dependably when called during your selected windows is non-negotiable.

What You Need

- Physical Stamina: Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and actively working outdoors in cold Canadian winter conditions.
- Reliable Winter Transportation: A dependable way to get to our shop or job sites during active storm conditions (regardless of the hour).
- Proper Cold-Weather Gear: You must have your own warm, waterproof winter clothing and quality insulated winter work boots.
- Responsiveness: Quick to answer dispatch texts or calls when winter storms are forecasted during your available hours.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
