Design and Build with Tony is looking for a Fireplace Technician / Gas Fitter to join our growing team! We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys hands-on work, and is interested in building a career in the fireplace industry. We are happy to train the right candidate.

A Little Bit About Us:

We are a growing team specializing in the servicing and maintenance of residential and commercial gas, wood-burning, and vapor-fire fireplaces.

We also design, install, renovate, and restore older fireplaces. No two days are the same. Some days involve residential service calls, while others are spent on construction sites working on larger projects.

We are looking for someone to join our team and help us keep up with our busiest time of year, with the opportunity to grow alongside the business. As we expand, we're introducing profit-sharing, bonuses, tuition coverage and more.

What We're Looking For:

- Located within the Greater Toronto Area.
- Holds a G3 or G2 gas fitter licence, is currently working toward obtaining one, or is willing to complete the required training to obtain a gas and/or wood-burning certification.
- Robust communication skills when working with both our team and clients.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and adapt to different working environments.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of their work.




- Available to work approximately 30–40 hours per week.
- Valid G2 or G driver's licence. Having access to your own vehicle to travel to job sites would be an asset.
- Previous experience in construction, masonry, renovations, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC would be a significant asset.

Responsibilities:

- Assist our fireplace technicians with servicing gas, wood-burning, and vapor-fire fireplaces and their associated components.
- Assist with diagnosing issues, troubleshooting, and completing repairs.
- Help maintain clean and organized job sites, including completing cleanup as needed.
- Assist with picking up parts, equipment, and fireplaces from suppliers.
- Attend bi-weekly team meetings at our office to review schedules, discuss upcoming projects, plan job-site activities, and check in with the team.
