Job Summary

Laid Well Roofing Ltd. is seeking two experienced and reliable shingle roofers to join our team in Vernon, BC, and surrounding communities.

The successful candidates will be responsible for removing existing roofing materials, preparing roof surfaces, and installing asphalt and fiberglass shingles on residential roofing projects.

This is a physically demanding position requiring experience working at heights, attention to detail, and a solid commitment to workplace safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Remove existing shingles and roofing materials.
- Inspect and prepare roof surfaces for installation.
- Install asphalt and fiberglass shingles according to manufacturer specifications.
- Install roofing underlayment, flashing, vents, and other roofing components.
- Measure, cut, and fit roofing materials.
- Identify and repair damaged roofing areas as required.
- Safely operate roofing tools and equipment.
- Follow WorkSafeBC regulations and fall protection procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites.
- Work cooperatively with crew members to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements

- 1–2 years of roofing experience required.




- Ability to communicate in English for workplace safety.
- Valid fall protection training certification required.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to travel between job sites.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy roofing materials.
- Comfortable working on ladders, steep roofs, and at heights.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Criminal record check required before hiring.

Working Conditions

- Physically demanding work involving lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Outdoor work in hot, cold, and changing weather conditions.
- Regular work at heights and on sloped roofing surfaces.
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment.
