Service Counter/Parts Person

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Service Counter/Parts Person to support our service department and assist customers with parts, supplies, and general service needs. This position is responsible for providing knowledgeable service, maintaining accurate inventory records, and helping ensure the counter operates efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist customers and technicians with identifying, locating, and ordering parts.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate product and availability information.
- Prepare quotes, process sales, and complete invoices and other service-related paperwork.
- Receive, inspect, label, and organize incoming parts and supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and help monitor stock levels.
- Coordinate parts orders with vendors and follow up on back orders and deliveries.
- Keep the service counter, parts area, and showroom clean, organized, and qualified.
- Follow company procedures for safety, cash handling, customer service, and inventory control.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a parts, service counter, warehouse, retail, or customer service role preferred.




- Knowledge of automotive, equipment, machinery, or industrial parts is helpful but not required.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use a computer, point-of-sale system, inventory software, and common office equipment.
- Ability to read parts information, product descriptions, and basic technical documentation.
- Ability to safely lift and move parts and supplies as needed.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
