Job Description:
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable AZ Long-Haul Truck Driver for cross-border transportation from Brampton, Ontario, to various destinations across the Eastern and Midwestern United States.
The driver will operate a 2019 Volvo truck with a dry van trailer. Most trips are completed without layovers; however, when an overnight layover is required, an additional $100 will be paid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive safely on long-haul routes from Brampton to the USA.
- Transport goods to destinations across the Eastern and Midwestern United States.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and required transportation documents.
- Follow all DOT and Canadian transportation regulations.
- Maintain communication with dispatch.
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario AZ Driver's Licence.
- Minimum 6 months of AZ driving experience.
- Valid passport and eligibility for cross-border travel.
- Clean driving record and driving abstract.
- Experience with dry van trailers is an asset.
- Knowledge of US and Canadian trucking regulations.
- Reliable, qualified, and safety-conscious.
Compensation:
- $0.60 per mile.
- Additional $100 for each required layover.
- Most trips are completed without overnight layovers.
