To support a growing orthopedic practice, the full-time remote Certified Coder II will review medical records and assign ICD-10 and CPT codes while managing patient demographics and billing data to ensure proper coding and reimbursement.

Key responsibilities Abstracts data and assigns accurate ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedure codes in compliance with policies Utilizes practice management systems to account for patient demographics and services performed for surgical cases Educates clinical staff on documentation and coding standards to promote compliance and accuracy Required qualifications High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred Accredited by the American Health Information Management Association (CCS-P) or the American Academy of Professional Coders (CPC) 3-5 years of professional medical coding experience, preferably in a multi-specialty workplace Experience with coding audits, payer guidelines, and resolving coding discrepancies Current professional coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent preferred/required
