Role Overview

As a Welder, you will play a key role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of heavy mobile and fixed plant equipment. Working with a strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility, you will carry out fabrication, welding, repair, and maintenance tasks on a range of equipment, ensuring operational readiness and contributing to a zero-incident workplace.

Core Responsibilities

- Strong focus on safety, the environment and contributing to a zero-incident workplace.
- Perform preventative, predictive & breakdown maintenance associated with operations equipment including, but not limited to, large scale Bulldozers and support equipment, P&H; Shovels & Drills and Komatsu Haul Trucks.
- Contributing to the development of apprentices and working as part of a team to accomplish maintenance goals and targets.




- Supporting maintenance personnel in all trades.

Education & Experience

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Interprovincial trade qualifications for Welder (Red Seal Certification).
- Valid Canadian driver's license.
- Mining experience is considered an asset.

Skills & Competencies

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and repair specifications.
- Experience with preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor and support apprentices.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Flexible and adaptable in supporting multiple trades and maintenance activities.
