Seeking a motivated Certified Profee Coder - AZ, the full-time remote position will manage high-volume coding for a busy family practice clinic, including charges for HCC diagnostics and annual physical exams, with adaptable scheduling after training.
Key responsibilities: Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and procedural information in accordance with national coding guidelines Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes into electronic medical records, ensuring completeness and accuracy Provide quality assurance for medical records, ensuring compliance with coding rules and regulations Required qualifications: At least 1 year of recent experience in E/M Family Practice coding Current certification through AAPC or AHIMA High school diploma/GED or equivalent training in medical record keeping principles Six months of professional coding services or related healthcare experience Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles as demonstrated by certification
