URGENTLY HIRING FOR A RECENT PROJECT IN NORTHERN ONTARIO!! The welder fabricates, joins, and prepares metal components for manufacturing, construction, and ductwork projects. This hands-on role involves interpreting project information, selecting suitable tools and processes, and completing work with care and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and schematics, take measurements with calipers, and use basic math to plan and check work.
- Perform MIG , TIG, stick and FCAW welding equipment and techniques, assembly, machining, and plasma cutting; operate press brake machines and use hand and power tools.
- Move and position materials using rigging, cranes, or forklifts, following safe work practices and coordinating with the team.
- Your impact: Accurate, well-prepared components help colleagues keep projects moving and meet build requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensed 437A Metal Fabricator (CWB certificate preferred)
- Valid G class driver's license
- Personal transportation to work (Bruce Mines)
- A safety-first mindset
- Comfortable and able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Willing to work at remote locations and on shift work
- Apprentices may be considered
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 84.0 per week
