Position: Deli Clerk

In order to fulfill your duties you are expected to:

- Come to work on time in a neat and well-groomed appearance every day and to wear your uniform if you are required to do so.
- Take direction from Deli Manager (or Senior Clerk if Manager is absent).
- Ensure that Company principles, policies and store Management direction is understood and reflected in your day to day work.
- Make sure that product is handled with care and in a manner that no damage will result.
- Serve the public in a qualified and friendly manner, demonstrate a pleasant attitude and always thank them. Serving the public is No. 1 priority, it is especially important in your position.
- Fill and maintain service Deli counter in a proper and neat fashion with proper rotation making display look appealing as per Company standard.
- Keep Deli service area spotless clean at all times (ie. counters, windows, scales, working tables etc...).




- Fill and maintain all packaged Deli products in a proper and neat fashion with proper rotation as per Company standard.
- Fill and maintain olive bar counter in a proper and neat fashion ensuring the counter is kept clean at all times as per Company standard.
- Be sure that all packaged Deli products are correctly priced in cooperation with deli Manage
- Prepare all Deli products that you are asked to in a proper and neat fashion as per Company standard.
- Ensure that display counters are properly filled with proper rotation at the end of your late shift as per Company standard.
- Store away all Deli products in the designated areas when asked in a proper neat fashion, ensuring proper rotation as per Company standard.
- Make sure that you always handle products in a sanitary fashion, wear the proper hat and keep your hair tidy as per health regulation.
- Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times and leave your work area clean at the end of your shift.
- Help with cleaning when required
- Pick up garbage off the floor anywhere as you walk by (ie. papers etc...)
