Senior Construction Project Manager – Heavy Civil & Arctic Infrastructure
Dorval, QC | Full-time, permanent | $120,000–$150,000 + bonus and RRSP matching

You are an experienced construction project manager who takes ownership, thinks ahead and keeps every detail under control. You know that successful execution depends on more than a schedule: it takes clear communication, disciplined documentation and making sure your field team has what it needs before it needs it. You’re looking for a role where your experience matters, your decisions have an impact and you can help a growing company take on increasingly complex projects.

About Tower Arctic

Tower Arctic is an Inuit-owned construction company with roots dating back to 1945 and a long history of building essential infrastructure across Canada’s North. Based in Iqaluit, the company specializes in heavy civil and building construction, including water and sewer systems, roads, airports, port facilities, and commercial and industrial buildings.

Its history includes more than 1,500 Arctic projects, bringing extensive experience with the challenges of permafrost, extreme weather and remote construction logistics. Quality, dedication, efficiency and safety guide its approach, alongside a robust commitment to local employment, training and Inuit participation.

For an experienced project manager, this is an opportunity to help deliver infrastructure that northern communities depend on, while contributing to the next stage of an established company’s growth.

The opportunity

Based at the company’s Dorval office, you will take responsibility for the heavy civil portion of a major,

multiyear water infrastructure project in Nunavut. The work includes upgrades to an existing water treatment facility and expansion of its water source.

You will work closely with the owners and field leadership to manage delivery, coordinate requirements and keep the client informed. As you grow into the role, you will also contribute to estimating, planning future projects and improving how the company operates.

What you will do

- Lead project planning and execution, keeping schedules, budgets and deliverables on track.
- Coordinate with superintendents, foremen and field teams to anticipate labour, equipment and material requirements.
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, shop drawings, progress claims and client reporting.
- Serve as a key client contact, lead project meetings and follow through on commitments.
- Identify risks, resolve issues and address potential delays before they affect the work.
- Plan around the realities of northern construction, including seasonal access, sealift logistics and weather conditions.
- Review project costs and results to identify lessons and improve future estimates and execution.
- Make occasional site visits to understand progress and support the field team.

What you bring

- 10–15 years of construction project management experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex projects.
- Experience managing projects in the $5 million–$15 million range, ideally in heavy civil or infrastructure construction.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage demanding documentation and reporting requirements.
- The confidence to work independently, set priorities and keep people accountable.
- Strong spoken and written English; French is an asset.
- Availability to work from the Dorval office and travel occasionally to Nunavut.

An engineering degree is preferred, although a proven record of successful project delivery will also be considered. PMP certification is an asset.

Experience with water and sewer infrastructure, underground piping, HDPE, or construction in remote or Arctic environments would be particularly valuable.

What you can expect

- A base salary of $120,000–$150,000, depending on experience.
- Bonus opportunities and RRSP matching.
- A permanent position with an initial project extending through 2028.
- Direct collaboration with the owners and room to take on broader responsibilities.
- An energetic, collaborative team that values a good work-life balance.
- Travel—typically two short trips to Nunavut per year
