Integrity Dig Operator

Certainty Pipeline Corp. is seeking experienced and safety-conscious Integrity Dig Operators to join our growing pipeline integrity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating excavators and supporting excavation activities on pipeline integrity projects throughout Alberta. Candidates must have experience working around live pipelines and underground facilities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, production, and quality.

Responsibilities

- Operate excavators and related equipment to safely expose pipelines, facilities, and crossings for inspection and repair.
- Work closely with inspectors, NDE technicians, welders, hydrovac crews, and client representatives.
- Read and understand dig packages, locate information, crossing agreements, and project specifications.
- Perform excavation activities in accordance with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain proper clearances when working around underground utilities and energized facilities.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Complete required paperwork, hazard assessments, FLHAs, and daily reports.
- Assist with site preparation, matting, access construction, reclamation, and cleanup activities as required.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on all worksites.

Qualifications

- Previous pipeline integrity dig experience preferred.




- Minimum 3 years operating excavators in a pipeline or oil and gas environment.
- Strong understanding of safe excavation practices around buried facilities.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Class 1 or 3 considered an asset).
- Ground Disturbance Level II certification.
- Valid H2S Alive, First Aid, CSTS, and Common Safety Orientation (CSO).
- Ability to travel and work away from home as required.
- Solid communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
