Position Type: Camp-Based / Rotational Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off Shift Length: 12-hour shifts Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour Levert is currently seeking a skilled, safety-conscious Environmental Specialist to join our team at Canada's largest gold mine.

The successful candidate will support environmental monitoring and compliance activities, assist with spill investigations, analyze environmental data, and ensure site operations comply with environmental permits and regulations.

This position is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote mining workplace.

What We Offer •Competitive hourly wage •Weekly pay (some exceptions apply) •Dental and vision benefits •Prescription drug coverage •Life insurance •Employee Assistance Program (EAP) •Professional development and training opportunities •Opportunity to work with industry-leading mining companies •Career advancement opportunities •Safety recognition program Key Responsibilities •Conduct and support environmental sampling activities across designated sub-watersheds. •Assist with water quality, air quality, noise, streamflow, and groundwater monitoring. •Support environmental compliance sampling in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements. •Plan and prioritize fieldwork to ensure sampling schedules and site protocols are followed. •Review and analyze water chemistry results to identify trends and potential environmental concerns. •Compare environmental monitoring data against permit limits and regulatory requirements. •Identify and communicate potential compliance issues to the Environmental Department. •Prepare and present regular environmental monitoring reports. •Coordinate with external laboratories to ensure samples are analyzed within required timelines.



•Arrange for the timely delivery of sampling supplies and materials. •Review sampling results and troubleshoot quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) issues. •Maintain accurate environmental monitoring records and documentation. •Assist with environmental spill investigations and follow-up activities. •Support compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and site-specific procedures. •Identify potential environmental risks and recommend corrective actions. •Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members. •Coordinate with external consultants regarding noise monitoring activities. •Assist with air quality sampling and monitoring programs. •Support stream gauging and groundwater data collection as required.

Qualifications & Experience •Experience in environmental monitoring, sampling, or compliance, preferably within the mining industry. •Knowledge of water quality monitoring, sampling procedures, and environmental regulations. •Ability to interpret laboratory results and compare data against regulatory limits. •Understanding of environmental QA/QC procedures. •Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. •Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with laboratories, consultants, and site personnel. •Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote mining environment. •Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental protection. •Willingness to work a 14/14 rotation with 12-hour shifts.
