Job Description Heavy Duty Field Mechanic Location: Rocky Mountain House, Alberta Schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off Position Overview: Pidherney’s Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Field Mechanic to join our maintenance team.

This position involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment in the field to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate is a skilled, detail-oriented mechanic with solid troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues on heavy-duty off-road equipment.

Inspect, maintain, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.

Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime.

Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend appropriate repair solutions.

Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure equipment reliability.





Maintain accurate service records and documentation of completed repairs.

Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements: Experience as a Heavy Duty Off-Road Mechanic with the ability to diagnose and repair heavy equipment.

Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.

Valid First Aid, CSO, and H2S certifications.

Valid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract. Q endorsement considered an asset.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently and effectively troubleshoot equipment issues.

Willingness and ability to work out of town as required.

Availability to work a 10/4 shift rotation.
