Laundry Production Associate (Full time)

Location: The Coverall Shop, Edgar Industrial Park, Red Deer
Position: Full-time, permanent | In person

Do you notice what needs doing and take the next step? Do you take pride in getting orders right, keeping your workspace organized, and doing your part to help the team succeed? When something goes wrong, is your first thought, “What can I do to help fix this?”

The Coverall Shop is growing, and we’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Laundry Production Associate who brings that approach to work. This is a hands-on role working strictly in our industrial laundry production area. You’ll help keep our customers’ workwear sorted, processed, organized, and ready for work.

Know the working conditions before you apply: Industrial laundry work is dirty, hot, noisy, and physically demanding. You will handle heavily soiled industrial workwear containing dirt, grease, and oil. You’ll spend most of your shift standing, moving, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks.

Being comfortable with these conditions is essential. If you are not comfortable working in a hot, noisy environment or handling heavily soiled garments, this position is not the right fit for you.

Schedule

- Tuesday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Saturdays are mandatory.
- Occasional overtime may be required.

What you’ll do

- Sort, tag, hang, and organize industrial workwear.
- Handle heavily soiled garments containing dirt, grease, and oil.
- Support daily laundry production and garment processing.
- Prepare customer orders and check them for accuracy.

- Perform repetitive production tasks with care and consistency.
- Keep your workspace clean, safe, and organized.
- Follow safe work procedures and use required protective equipment.
- Work independently while staying connected with the team.
- Drive between locations or assist with occasional errands when required.

How you approach your work matters: You’ll be a good fit if you:

- Follow through. You arrive ready to work and complete the tasks you commit to.
- Take initiative. When you finish a task, you look for the next priority or ask where you can help.
- Care about the details. You understand that the right garment, tag, and order matter.
- Own your mistakes. You speak up early, help correct the issue, and learn from it.
- Ask questions. If instructions are unclear, you check rather than guess.
- Respond well to feedback. You use coaching to improve your work.
- Raise concerns constructively. You flag issues, missing information, or obstacles and help identify a practical next step.
- Support your teammates. You take responsibility for your own work and lend a hand when others need it.

You don’t need to have every answer. We’re looking for someone willing to learn, communicate, and take responsibility for the part they can influence.

What you’ll need

- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, or:
- Reliable transportation for every scheduled shift, including Saturdays when bus service is unavailable.
- Availability to work the full Tuesday-to-Saturday schedule.
- Comfort working in a hot, noisy, dirty industrial environment.
- Willingness to handle heavily soiled workwear containing dirt, grease, and oil.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfort with repetitive tasks and a steady production routine.
- Ability to lift 25 to 30 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand and remain physically active for most of the shift.
- English reading, writing, and speaking skills sufficient to follow safety instructions, read garment tags, check orders, and communicate with the team.
- A dependable approach to attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
