Position Summary

As a Receiver at Champ Metal Fabrication, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the productive flow of materials within our production facility. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments, as well as assisting in the organization and maintenance of our warehouse and inventory management systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and supplies. Inspect shipments for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet the specified standards and documentation.

· Maintain accurate records of received materials in our inventory management system. Organize and label items for easy retrieval and use.

· Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure that incoming materials meet the necessary quality standards. Report any discrepancies or issues promptly.

· Accurately complete receiving documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders. Maintain organized records of all received materials.

· Work closely with the Purchasing and Production teams to ensure that materials are available when needed. Notify relevant parties of any delays or shortages.

· Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Ensure that materials are stored safely and appropriately.

· Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while handling materials and operating equipment. Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.

· Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed, following safety protocols and guidelines.

Environmental Conditions

· Monday – Friday

· Full Time – 40 hours weekly

· Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors





· Required to use all Personal Protective Equipment (shoes, glasses, hearing & safety vest)

· Flexibility to work Overtime on short notice, early mornings, evenings & weekends.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

· Manual & Physical dexterity required

· Work involves sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, walking

Qualifications

· Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role

· Experience in Shipping/Receiving is considered an asset

· Forklift certification is a plus

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Proven health and safety orientation

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Exceptional time management skills

· Ability to handle pressure

· Ability to adapt and formulate new plans as contingencies arise

· Self-motivated, with leadership skills and a high energy outlook

· Strong written communication skills

· Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures

· Ability to work individually and as part of a team

· High level of integrity and work ethic

· Must possess a valid driver’s license
