Duties

- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including ingredient prep and portioning under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including counters, floors, and storage spaces
- Support the kitchen team with meal assembly and presentation as needed
- Properly handle and store food items according to safety guidelines to prevent contamination
- Ensure all dishware and kitchen tools are sanitized and organized for easy access
- Follow health and safety procedures consistently to promote a safe working environment

Skills





- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and bending
- Basic cooking skills or willingness to learn cooking techniques and meal prep processes
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment
- Familiarity with food industry practices related to sanitation, hygiene, and safety regulations
