*IT Technician * Purpose: The primary responsibility of the IT Technician is to install, maintain and repair hardware & software components of our computers and systems. It is also important to support these systems through remote access or site visits as needed by management. Reports To: Vice President of Operations Primary Responsibilities * Develop and maintain intranet and web-site (LAMP, Wordpress); * Maintain VOIP system (Fortinet); * Develop and maintain local wired and wireless networks (Ubiquiti); * Installation of PC hardware; * Check and maintain computer hardware such as mouses and keyboards; * Install, configure and manage software and their functions according to specifications; * Develop and maintain local networks; * Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems; * Assist in and plan training, development and education for new software and hardware; * Troubleshoot to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; * Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes; * Maintain hardware and software inventory; * Maintain expenses; * Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders when necessary. Abilities * Proven experience as *IT Technician* or relevant position; * Excellent diagnostic and problem solving skills; * Excellent communication ability; * Outstanding organizational and time-management skills; * In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks; * Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles; * Strong organization skills including the ability to manage diverse tasks at the same time; * Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively; * Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time; * Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude and remain professional in all situations. Qualifications * Post-secondary education in a related field or an acceptable combination of related training and experience is required; * Effective and professional communication skills in English.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
