Position Overview

Schep’s Bakeries LTD is seeking an experienced and motivated Packaging Supervisor to lead daily packaging operations within our quick-paced bakery production environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring packaging lines operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards while supporting production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily packaging line operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved
- Lead, motivate, and support packaging staff while promoting a positive and productive team environment
- Monitor line performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and work closely with Line Operators and Dough Setters as needed
- Ensure efficient workflow, minimize downtime, and reduce production waste and scrap
- Maintain compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and company procedures
- Communicate production concerns, staffing needs, equipment issues, and operational updates to management
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and process optimization
- Train employees on packaging procedures, safe work practices, and operational standards
- Assist with scheduling, shift coordination, and performance monitoring of team members
- Perform additional production and supervisory duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, food production, or bakery supervisory role preferred
- Strong leadership,



communication, and team-building abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced production workplace
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and production efficiency practices
- Reliable, energetic, and committed to maintaining high production standards

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- Frequent bending, reaching, climbing, and repetitive movements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels
- Ability to work early morning shifts as required

Work Environment

- Fast-paced bakery production facility with exposure to moving mechanical equipment
- Occasional exposure to humid conditions, airborne particles, and varying temperatures
- Ear protection available and recommended in designated production areas

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
