Supporting the prior authorization request process, the full time Florida Authorization Specialist will assist the utilization management team by documenting authorization requests, verifying member insurance coverage, and ensuring timely adjudication for payment in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities Aids the utilization management team by tracking and documenting authorizations and referrals in accordance with policies Researches and documents necessary medical information for the authorization review process Performs data entry to maintain and update authorization requests in the utilization management system Required qualifications High School diploma or GED 1 - 2 years of related experience Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance preferred Must reside in the state of Florida Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship
